The safest way to upgrade an older articlems version to the new 2.0 is the following:
1) From your CPanel make files backup and database backup.
2) Delete all the files in the root/foolder where you have articlems working.
3) Upload all the files from the articlems 2.0 folder on your pc.
4) Fill up the setting.php files using the info you have into your old setting.php file and upload it.
5) From your browser launch the www . your site . com /install/upgrade.php
6) Choose the version you want upgrade (Eg. 1.3) and proceed following the insctruction.
If everything will be ok, you will be able to access your admin.
Login to admin and goto EDIT TEMPLATE —> MANAGE SKINS
You’ll see the default skin
Click the UPGRADE link on the right.
If you have other skins there don’t UPGRADE them becouse they’ll not work.

ArticleMs Default Skin: add the third column
I noticed that many peoples using ArtcleMs script are looking for a 3 colums template.
I have modified the default skin adding the third column
When you try to change something in your skin i always suggest you to create a duplicate skin based on the skin you want modify and work on it. So if any error occur you can copy the original code from the original template.
To add a third column i have changed and added some code to the STYLESHEET and to the MAIN template.
